I was invested in Gytha’s journey from the start. She’s compassionate and quietly brave—exactly the kind of heroine I love to root for. Her dynamic with Alexander (the enchanted prince) was tender and layered, and the “friends to lovers” element paired with the forced proximity made their slow connection feel earned and genuine.
The setting, filled with snow-dusted magic and goblin enchantments, felt both whimsical and dangerous, and the story included just the right amount of tension to keep me wondering how everything would unfold. I had a few theories as I read—and I was happy to see some of them turn out right!
This book felt like a cozy but adventurous winter read, perfect for fans of heartfelt fantasy and romantic retellings. I’ll definitely be looking into more of the All That Glitters series.
